The National Gallery of Ireland is just a 10 minute stroll from Maldron Hotel Pearse Street and is one of the most prestigious galleries in Europe. With travelling collections displayed at the gallery throughout the year, and the exquisite Turner collection only displayed during the low light of January to preserve its appearance, there are so many new things to discover on each visit. Dublin Zoo

Guinness Storehouse

Guinness Storehouse is Dublin’s top tourist attraction and is loved by all. A trip to Dublin really isn’t complete without a pint of Guinness and where else to enjoy it than the gravity bar at Guinness Storehouse which provides you with stunning views across Dublin.

Opening hours are Sunday to Thursday from 11.30am to 7.00pm (last entry 5.00pm) and Friday to Saturday from 11.30am to 9.30pm (last entry 8.00pm).

Pre-booking is essential via their website for up to 6 visitors and you can select a time slot to visit.

Jameson Distillery Bow Street

Jameson Distillery Bow Street is a must see for any whiskey enthusiastic, the tour includes a whiskey tasting session as well as an interactive tour of the distilling process.

St Stephen’s Green

They say that the best things in life are free! St Stephen’s Green is located about 10 minute walk (with children) from Maldron Hotel Pearse Street. Adults will be charmed by the stunning Victorian park in the city centre whilst kids will love the playground and duckpond. Look out for free outdoor lunchtime concerts in the summertime.

Trinity College Dublin & The Book of Kells

Trinity College Dublin is also just a 10 minute walk from Maldron Pearse Street, and is a central attraction in Dublin – an architectural and cultural highlight of the city. EPIC the Irish emigration museum is located in the CHQ building just a short 5 minute walk across the river from the hotel. Kilmainham Gaol

Kilmainham Gaol is one of the best attractions for anyone interested in Irish history. Discover the story of the 1916 rising and join a guided tour of the prison.

The Ark

The Ark is the first children’s centre for culture. Collaborating with Irish and International Artists the team at The Ark develop inspirational and playful programmes for children aged 3-14 years including theatre, dance, poetry, arts and crafts. The Ark is a 20 minute walk from the hotel, or hop on the 56a or 77a bus just down the road from the hotel and be there in 10 minutes.

Natural History Museum

Another amazing attraction just 10 minutes’ walk from Maldron Pearse Street. Known affectionately by Dubliners as “the dead zoo”, a visit to the Natural History Museum is a must for all families but make sure to allow plenty of time to enjoy this great attraction. FREE ADMISSION

Viking Splash Tours

Viking Splash Tours is a really enjoyable way to see Dublin. This experience is fun for all ages and is something different as you will enter the water at Grand Canal Basin. You will go past the Naomh Eanna Ferry which used to be the only link the Aran Islands had with the mainland. The old Boland’s Mill, famous as one of the battlegrounds of the 1916 rising and the U2 recording studios will also be part of this adventure.

    What time is check-in?

    Check-in is officially from 3.00pm. Earlier check-in is subject to room availability. For this reason, the only way to guarantee an early check-in is to book the room from the day prior to arrival. If it is not possible to check-in earlier than 3.00pm, our guests may leave luggage with our front office team at the reception area.

    What time is check-out?

    Check-out is at 12 noon.

    Is it possible to get a late check-out?

    Late check-out is subject to availability. It may be possible to check-out later than 12 noon with a €10 charge per hour until 3.00pm maximum. It is advisable to discuss the possibility of this with our front office team at the reception desk.

    What in-room amenities are included?

    All of our bedrooms are equipped with a hairdryer, an iron and an ironing board and tea/coffee making facilities for your complimentary use.

    Do you have family rooms?

    Yes, we can offer a quadruple room also called a family room. Each of these is comprised of two double beds. That means that four people will share two double beds.

    Do you have connecting rooms?

    Yes, we have 4 interconnecting rooms. Each of these is comprised of one double bed and one single bed.

    Do you have cribs for children?

    Yes, we can offer to include one baby cot into most of our room types, free of charge.

    What type of room should I book for three adults?

    Our triple rooms have a double bed and a single bed. This means that two adults would need to share a double bed. We do not have rooms with three single beds.

    Do bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms?

    Yes, all bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with dual rain showers.

    Do you have wheelchair-accessible rooms?

    Yes, we have 6 wheelchair accessible rooms. These rooms have roll-in wet rooms and are fully compliant.

    What are the times for breakfast?

    Monday to Friday from 7.00am – 10.00am

    Weekends & Bank Holiday from 8.00am – 10.30am

    Is a reservation for dinner required?

    It may not be required. However, we do recommend making a table reservation prior to avoid disappointment.

    Do you have room service?

    In-room dining is available and you can order from our Click & Go Menu, on our Guest Service Platform. Collect your food at the collection point in our restaurant.

    Room Service menu is served daily from 3.00pm to 10.00pm

  • Booking

    What is the cancellation policy?

    Our flexible rates have a cancellation policy of notice by 2.00pm 24 hours prior to the arrival date booked. Our advanced purchase rates are payable at the time of booking and each reservation is non-transferable and non-refundable.

    What does our “no show” policy entail?

    If you do not show on the day of your booking, you will be charged the full amount for your first night’s stay. If you have booked our “advanced purchase” or “prepay and save” rates, you will incur a 100% penalty charge for the entire duration of your stay.

    What is the hotel’s credit card policy?

    We require a credit card to make and secure a booking. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards. If a booking is secured with a debit card, a cash deposit may be required.

    What are the room rates at Maldron Hotel Pearse Street?

    Room rates vary from season to season, day to day and for special events. All room rates quotes include taxes and charges. For the best available rate always book directly with Maldron Hotel Pearse Street.

    Do room rates include breakfast?

    Maldron Hotel Pearse Street offers both room only and bed & breakfast rates. Room only rates do not include breakfast.

    Can I claim back on the Stay and Spend Tax Credit Scheme?

    Our hotel is registered for the Stay and Spend Tax Credit Scheme. If you stay with us between 1st October 2020 and 30th April 2021 you can claim up to €125 under this scheme, please see revenue.ie for details.

    Does the hotel offer free WiFi?

    Yes, our guests have complimentary access to our hotel’s WiFi throughout the hotel and in all guest bedrooms.

    Can you provide babysitting?

    No, we don’t provide babysitting services.

    Do you have a gym?

    No, there is no gym on-site.

    Is the hotel air-conditioned?

    Our executive rooms have air-conditioning, our standard rooms do not.

    Does the hotel provide international adaptors?

    There are European sockets in all of our bedrooms. Adapters for United States plugs are available at a charge.

    Is the hotel a non-smoking hotel?

    Yes, all bedrooms at Maldron Hotel Pearse Street are completely non-smoking. We do have a designated outdoor smoking area at the front of the hotel to accommodate guests who smoke. A deep cleaning fee will be charged to guests who are found to be in breach of our no smoking policy.

    Are pets permitted?

    No, only certified guide dogs are permitted in our hotel.
