The National Gallery of Ireland is just a 10 minute stroll from Maldron Hotel Pearse Street and is one of the most prestigious galleries in Europe. With travelling collections displayed at the gallery throughout the year, and the exquisite Turner collection only displayed during the low light of January to preserve its appearance, there are so many new things to discover on each visit. Dublin Zoo

Guinness Storehouse

Guinness Storehouse is Dublin’s top tourist attraction and is loved by all. A trip to Dublin really isn’t complete without a pint of Guinness and where else to enjoy it than the gravity bar at Guinness Storehouse which provides you with stunning views across Dublin.

Opening hours are Sunday to Thursday from 11.30am to 7.00pm (last entry 5.00pm) and Friday to Saturday from 11.30am to 9.30pm (last entry 8.00pm).

Pre-booking is essential via their website for up to 6 visitors and you can select a time slot to visit.

Jameson Distillery Bow Street

Jameson Distillery Bow Street is a must see for any whiskey enthusiastic, the tour includes a whiskey tasting session as well as an interactive tour of the distilling process.

St Stephen’s Green

They say that the best things in life are free! St Stephen’s Green is located about 10 minute walk (with children) from Maldron Hotel Pearse Street. Adults will be charmed by the stunning Victorian park in the city centre whilst kids will love the playground and duckpond. Look out for free outdoor lunchtime concerts in the summertime.

Trinity College Dublin & The Book of Kells

Trinity College Dublin is also just a 10 minute walk from Maldron Pearse Street, and is a central attraction in Dublin – an architectural and cultural highlight of the city. Guided tours of the college campus are offered, showing you the history of the building and the institution and incorporating the science gallery, the zoological museum and the infamous Book of Kells – a beautifully hand written book written on vellum, dating back to roughly 800AD.

Temple Bar

Temple Bar is the culture hub of Dublin and home to many of the most well-known pubs we have to offer. If you are looking for Dublin nightlife you will find plenty to choose from here, and just a 20 minute stroll or a short taxi ride from the hotel.

EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum

EPIC the Irish emigration museum is located in the CHQ building just a short 5 minute walk across the river from the hotel. It is a state of the art interactive experience and tells the history of the Irish emigration. Over the centuries, some 10 million people have left the island of Ireland. Kilmainham Gaol

Kilmainham Gaol is one of the best attractions for anyone interested in Irish history. Discover the story of the 1916 rising and join a guided tour of the prison.

The Ark

The Ark is the first children’s centre for culture. Collaborating with Irish and International Artists the team at The Ark develop inspirational and playful programmes for children aged 3-14 years including theatre, dance, poetry, arts and crafts. The Ark is a 20 minute walk from the hotel, or hop on the 56a or 77a bus just down the road from the hotel and be there in 10 minutes.

Natural History Museum

Another amazing attraction just 10 minutes’ walk from Maldron Pearse Street. Known affectionately by Dubliners as “the dead zoo”, a visit to the Natural History Museum is a must for all families but make sure to allow plenty of time to enjoy this great attraction. FREE ADMISSION
